Commercial websites generate enormous quantities of data every day. They record every action that a visitor to the site takes, the pages they visit, the route they take, the transactions that they carry out, and those that they abandon. The data which needs to be analysed can contain many dimensions such as geographic situation, the time, or other personal information which the website user has introduced.
